Aren’t they beautiful?

Having relocated to Penrith, from Hampshire during the Pandemic, I started again with a new business name and website, I hope you like it. Don’t be fooled though, the name and website are new, but behind the scenes, there’s a wealth of knowledge and experience.

If you’d like to take a look at the previous 8 years work, have a look at www.mortimerandtadleypets.com which is now being run by the lovely Charlotte Anderssen.

Through a lifetime of being around dogs, from family dogs, my dad being a KC registered Golden Retriever breeder and then having my own dogs, it’s absolutely a passion, not a job.

The first 16 weeks of a puppy’s life are THE most important however, all behaviours of dogs of any age can be corrected but, the unwanted behaviours may stem from those early weeks and it’s important to understand.

For 12 years I have worked with hundreds of dogs, many of whom you see in the pictures.

Behaviour, such as separation anxiety, destructive behaviour, fears or phobias of many things, fear aggression and high chase/prey drive, to name but a few, are among those behaviours I have the greatest experience with.

Studying with Compass Education has helped me understand canine behaviour.

Developing my relationship with canines and through Compass Education and the BCCS (British College Of Canine Studies), I have spent many years studying how dogs learn and what we need to know to understand them.
